Melt that belly fat...4 tips for QUICK results!

Summer is here yet you're still trying to figure out a way to get rid of some stubborn fat. No problem hautemama (that's what I call myself) is here! I call myself the way I see myself and I see myself as a haute mama ...which leads me to my quick fat busting secrets:

1. See yourself smaller.

You cannot pay attention to the lying vanities or situation that is in front of you. What size do you want to be? How would you like to feel when walking up the stairs? Speak those positive and affirming words over yourself and you will see a shift in your mindset. Whatever your mind sees will be what you experience.

2. Go on a fast.

Now real fasting involves prayer and spending one with God but this fast is to refrain from eating ANY kind of sugary foods. That includes putting sugar in your coffee. Sugar packs on pounds especially soda pop. Refrain from it for 21 days and you'll see a massive difference! (Why 21 days? Check out my book 21 Laws that Rule the World where I talk about the power of habit and how that law can help you look better, feel better and achieve great things in life).

3. Jump rope.

They are inexpensive. They are simple. And they work! While you're watching your favorite hour long show (for example Scandal) during the commercials get up an begin to jump rope. Most commercial breaks during a 60 minute program is a total of 30 minutes. If you jump rope every time you see a commercial you are essentially doing a 30 minute workout! Do that 3-4 times a week and see that beach body emerge.

4. Drink plenty of [lemon] water.

I understand that most people don't drink water because it has no taste but when you squeeze some lemon or lime juice into the water it makes it tasty. Water flushes out toxins and other unnecessary particles within your system. And with all the fat burning you'll need something to cool you down.

Greatness Tip:
As much as I know these fat busting secrets will help you for quick results I must be honest; taking care of your temple is a year around job. You must decide I make a lifestyle change in order to achieve the true results you want.  Your objective should be to have a beach body YEAR ROUND!

Use Jesus Body Workout DVD to help you obtain that goal. Included with the DVD are recipes and tips that you can use over and over again.

We only have one body while we're here on the earth let's take care of it so it will last and take care of us.

Talented for no reason...

As I've been working on my newest project (a music CD) I couldn't help but think about the parable of the talents.  We all know the story; one guy received 5 talents, another received 3 talents and another received only 1. The parable states that the one with only 1 talent hid his talent and told his Master, when confronted, that he hid it.  His reason excuse was I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’*

Personally I do not believe that was the real reason why he hid the talent, it was just an excuse.  I believe that he hid the talent because he looked at the guy with 5 talents and the other with 3 and felt like he didn't have a chance.  In other words instead of using what God had given to him he looked at the other guys and felt like his 1 talent wasn't going to make a difference therefore there was no reason for him to use it.

It's possible!  We still think things like that to this day.  We think we don't sing, dance, photograph, write, dress or whatever like someone else so we neglect the talent or skill that we do have with the intention of making an excuse as to why instead of facing the fact that we feel like what we have is not enough.

But if we realize that God actually does exceedingly, abundantly, above all we can ask think or imagine then we will also realize that using what He has given us He can multiply it beyond measure.  It's funny how in the process of using one talent we "stumble" upon another talent or gifting that we never knew we had. Why?  Because God is a multiplier.  If you use what you have in your hand He can and will multiply it because He delights in the prosperity of His servants.

The end of the parable shows the Master upset with the servant because He did absolutely nothing with what He was given.  Really if I was the Master I would have been upset too...the Master entrusted the servant with the talent and his lack of action landed him in a terrible place.  So are we talented for no reason or talented for a reason that consists of ourselves, others & the One who created us, the Master?

*The parable can be found in Matthew 25:14-30

What is for me...is for ME!

The only portion of the Bible that will work for you is the portion that you believe.  Although God sees our needs and feels our pain He does not respond to that. [If He did respond to it there wouldn't be any pain in the world.  He does not respond to it due to disobedience of Adam and Eve].

What He does respond to is FAITH. Faith is a direct byproduct of believing.  What is believing?  Believing is having the upmost confidence that God can do what you desire for Him to do.
God is not haphazard.  He did not send Jesus to die on the cross for our sins and leave us the way we came to Him.  Being saved yet engulfed in our mess is not God’s best.

God sent Jesus to redeem us from the curse of the law; to give us emotional and physical health, give us a new life in Christ, give us the mind of Christ, as well as prosper us financially.  God does a full and total work; nothing missing nothing broken.  It may take us some time to get to the blessed life but it has been given to us waiting on our acceptance of it.  Ephesians 1:13-14 says “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance…”

Your best life is ahead of you.  All you have to do is believe.  Your belief will lead you to develop your faith.  As your faith grows and you begin to confess or speak out loud what you desire, it will begin to manifest itself in your life.  But it all starts with BELIEVING.

“…and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power…”   Ephesians 1:19.

You've got something to say...

megaphone.jpgBack in the day (before I was saved) I used to listen to a song by the Big Tymers called "Still Fly" with lyrics like this:

"Aint got no job, but I stay sharp/ Cant pay my rent, cause all my moneys spent/ but thats OK, cause Im still fly"

I sang that song all the time and eventually that is what I experienced...until I began singing (speaking) scripturally based songs like "Its all about You" by Smokey Norful and that was what I experienced...

"Now my eyes are open so I can see/ All you have done for me/ You made my life complete...
Im so glad that I have found/ the one who turned my life around/ You made my world a better place to live/ Its all about You"

Use your mouth to create your life!

Your mouth is more than red lipstick or chapstick and white teeth. Your mouth contains your tongue and your tongue although its a small member is a powerful member.  Proverbs 18:20 says "a man's stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; from the produce of his lips shall he be filled."  In other words your life is in perfect harmony with you speak about most.

If your life has been stagnant that means you haven't been saying anything.  If your life is filled with problems that means you have been saying that all you experience is problems.  If your life keeps advancing and blessings keep coming your way then that means you have been speaking advancement and blessings!

Good things take time, yet good things are worth having.  You never hear anyone complain about being in the promised land, you only hear people complain about getting to the promised land.   Now while you're on your way to the promised land declare those things that you want to see in your life.  Because you are a "king & priest" unto God (Revelation 5:10) you do as kings do; decree a thing and it will happen.

Here are some declarations you can make over your life:

* I am made for signs and wonders. What takes others ten years to accomplish, I will accomplish in less than a year.

*Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.  I have the mind of Christ.  God's wisdom is the foundation of my life.

*I walk in supernatural prosperity.  All my needs are met abundantly. I am debt free. My family and I lack nothing. The spirit of prosperity is working in me and blessing everything around me.

For more examples of declarations, get my book Christ-Confidence...Click here for more information.

P.S. Don't stop declaring if you don't see what you are saying tomorrow...keep declaring until you see what you are saying.  Faith is the evidence of things hoped for...keep decreeing it!

Are you missing out?

I recently had a book signing in Houston, TX for my new book Christ-Confidence....it was awesome!  People from all over Houston were able to pick up a copy and grab a hold of the of the spirit of confidence that was poured into the book.  Even after I left Houston I received calls with orders for the book!  Isn't God awesome!?

The content of the book is revelational and well here's some of the testimonies that have come thus far from men and women alike....

"Dr. Faith you did it again! I thought your first book was good but the second one [Christ-Confidence] is fabulous.  We need more teaching like this.  To build us up and let us know who we REALLY are in Christ!" Retha G.

"The book has inspired me to put into motion the business that I have been thinking about for quite some time" Ralph L.

How to have confidence during a "dry season"

Some say that "having successes creates confidence" but what if you're not in the season of having successes? What if your'e just starting out and unsure of how to create success? How do you gain confidence during that season?

Well honestly speaking, confidence shouldn't be based on anything external but rather internal. Specifically Who is inside of you...when you're born again it's Christ. The Bible says the same power that rose Christ from the dead is the very same power that lives on the inside of you and thus is made available to you. As a believer we are confident that Christ rose from the dead and that supernatural power is given to us for life and godliness.

External factors can change any day. Good looks, lots of money, a great job, etc can all expire but the fact that Christ came to give us life and life in abundance will not. His blood cannot expire, the atonement for our sin cannot expire, our ability to do ALL things in Christ cannot expire.  Therefore it is wise for us to base and grow our confidence in Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we can ask think or imagine.

Confidence that is built on His ability instead of our own ability gives us a head start and puts us ahead of the pack!  Even during a dry season we can walk with our head held high knowing that He makes you lie down in green pastures, He leads you beside the still waters (Psalm 23:2).  Despite feeling like we are in the desert where things are dry, harsh and bitter; in actuality He makes sure that ALL things work out for your good.

So keep moving and putting the Word of God to work. In due season you will reap if you do not faint...dry seasons make us stronger and also stand as proof that when we place our confidence in Christ we cannot fail and will not lack.

What's your life purpose?

I always tell people that you do the world and yourself a disservice by not fulfilling the call of God on your life.  But most people don't know what their purpose is or how to find out what it is.  I've included an excerpt from my book Christ-confidence with an excerpt from the chapter titled "Grand Purpose"...let's find your purpose together.

God loves us so much that He will speak to someone about you in order for that person to let you know that He is concerned about you.  We go through a lot of things in life that we blame God for when the reality is if He had it His way we wouldn’t go through hardship at all (Revelation 21:3-5). The words that she spoke to me that day let me know that despite what I thought to be true; God still had something good planned for me regardless the pain I was feeling.  Number two, when I found out that God had a plan for my life I became emboldened to find out what that plan was in order to live the life I deserved.  There is nothing more invigorating than to find out that the life that you live has a meaning to it.  That you are more than just a combustion of atoms but rather you are made in the image and likeness of God to make the world a better place for its inhabitants. Your life will come alive with vibrancy and fulfillment as soon as you find out what your purpose is in life.  The question now is “how do I go about finding out my life’s purpose?”

Initially you will have to start out with a general purpose such as the one found in Ephesians 2:10, “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”  This particular purpose is used in combination with the skills and abilities that you are aware of.  It doesn't matter what skill you have they can all be used to do good works.  Skills such as photography, dance, writing, construction, educating, speaking, organizational skills or any other skill that you are aware of can advance the cause of Christ.  As you continue to work with the skills that you are aware of and continue to grow spiritually (by reading the Word) a more specific purpose will develop.

Personally, I’ve always enjoyed writing.  Since I was a teenager I kept a journal where I would write my thoughts, feelings and insights into life.  As an adult I am still writing but I now write to advance the cause of Christ.  Something as small as journaling now evolved into this book.  Circumstantial?  No.  Purpose being fulfilled?  Yes.

It is very easy to become anxious about finding out your personal purpose in life.  Many times God will have you use the skills you are aware of to live out your general purpose with vigor and faithfulness before He will reveal your personal purpose.  Yet you have the ability to rely on the Holy Spirit to guide you into discovering your personal purpose.  When you do this, He will affirm it to you and lead you into intricate truths about your purpose.  John 16:13 says, “…the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.”
There are some clues that you can use in order to find and define your purpose.
¨    What skills and abilities do you think that the world can most benefit from you?
¨    Are there any painful memories or experiences that you have learned from and can educate others about?
¨    What upsets you the most about life/the world?
¨    Who do you believe you are called to reach?  Do you have favor with a certain group of people (i.e. men, children, young adults, age group, ethnicities, etc.)?
¨    Even if you did not receive a paycheck for doing your purpose, would you still do it?
¨    Even if you never received a round of applause or recognition, would you still do it?

Based on the answers to the above listed questions, if you think that you alone will not be able to carry out your purpose because it’s too big or you don’t have the resources; then you are on target! If you view your purpose as being too big for you that means it’s just the right size for God.  The best part is that God will take what you think is too big to a higher level than what you are even thinking about or imagining (Ephesians 3:20).
